YouTubesday: Les Breastfeeders
February 27th, 2007 by Aabra
As my high school friends still remind me any chance they get (ahem), I’ve always been confused about our French-speaking neighbors to the north. Why do some North Americans speak French? Why are they here? What do they want? Did they bring baguettes?
So, imagine my confusion upon hearing the yé-yé-inspired French pop sextet Les Breastfeeders. Sweet, bubbly pop out of France. But wait, they’re… Canadian. (Slap!) But it’s French! (Slap!) But they’re Canadian!!! (Slap!)
Ow. Watch these super fun vids at YouTube while I ice my cheek.
Wow. ‘Wish my imaginary band had an insane tambourine player who dressed like Iggy Pop…
Heh heh, I liked that last one so much I made an animated gif out of it:
————————————————————————
* Yummy Canadian actor Adam Beach is joining the cast of Law & Order SVU. Hate the show, but love this actor. Mmm!
* Hee hee, this news report on emo kids is hilarious and, sadly, 100% for real. Emo emu is sad!
* This week’s frustrating Flash game: Box Up. Get the red box into the blue box. Stuck at level 7, heeeeeeelp!
* By the way, these “pushing boxes” games are called sokoban (Japanese for ‘warehouse’, I think).
